Nurfaizatul Faizah Abdul Aziz

Resumen

The main purpose of this study is to use waste cooking oil with natural pigments to be oil paints. By using used cooking oil it is to prevent it from going to waste. Generally, the proposal is to use the waste cooking oil and natural pigment and also natural binder to make it into oil paint. The reason why all of the ingredients are being use in this project is so that it can be environmentally friendly compare to the industrial one that is full with chemical substance. The samples produce in this study was focus more on natural pigment. So that, the result of the sample can be determined whether the natural pigment is useable in oil paint or it should stick with the chemical ingredient, the test including analysis using GC and also the test of the durability of oil paint compare with industrial oil paint. From the GC analysis, there are results for store bought oil paint, charcoal pigments from experiment. There were highly shows that for store bought oil paint there were solvent in the substance itself that shows at 3 minutes mark. Thus, in present work the objectives were achieved proven by GC testing.
