Leopards and landowners; Attitudes, conflict and incentives to increase leopard value on private properties

Resumen

Leopards are frequently found on private land where they come in conflict with game and livestock farmers. Economic incentives are increasingly seen as a means to mitigate conflict. This study showed that 56.6 % of landowners were positive towards leopards, but 52 % indicated that leopards had no value.
