Resumen
Discute a interdisciplinaridade da ciência da informação (CI) na ótica dos alunos oriundos das diversas áreas do conhecimento que ingressaram no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação (PPGCI) da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) em 2007 e 2008, na perspectiva de avançarem em suas práxis como pesquisadores, seja para revisar conceitos, seja para reforçar, refutar, ou criar novas teorias. Metodologicamente buscou-se uma abordagem quantiqualitativa para expressar a opinião dos pós-graduandos em CI do PPGCI/UFMG. Os dados apontam que a informação como objeto de estudo, a fundamentação teórica da CI e a sua interdisciplinaridade proporcionam um novo olhar dialógico da área. Os futuros cientistas da informação oriundos de outras áreas do conhecimento podem colaborar com a CI identificando teorias e métodos que venham consolidar a interdisciplinaridade. Finding the interdisciplinarity of the information science: the approach of the students of the PPGCI/UFMGAbstractThe interdisciplinarity of the information science (IS) is discussed in the view of the students from several areas of knowledge that had entered in the Post-Graduate Program in Information Science (PPGCI, in Portuguese) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 2007 and 2008, in the perspective argues to advance in its practice as researchers, to revise concepts, to strengthen, to refute, or to create new theories. It methodology searched a quantiqualitative approach to express the opinion of the students in IS of the PPGCI/UFMG. The results show the information as research object, the theoretical foundations of IS and its interdisciplinarity provide a new dialogic view of the area. The future information scientists originating of other areas of knowledge can collaborate with the IS identifying theories and methods that come to consolidate the interdisciplinarity.
