SEABORNE TRADE IN 2015?2016. MARKET ANALYSIS

Resumen

The article presents the results of the maritime transport research. Global seaborne shipments development is presented in the article. They have increased by 3.4% in 2013 and 2014 and the total seaborne shipments increased to 9.84 billion tons. In 2016 it was 11.1 billion tonnes in 2017 it will reach 11.3 billion tonnes. That?s 2.5 times bigger than 25 years ago. Dry bulk shipments increased in 2016 by 1.3% (in 2015 5.0%) and reached 4.8 billion tons, and tanker trade by 4.1% (1.6%) and reached 3 billion tonnes. Containerized trade (respectively 5.6% and 3.4%) was estimated to 1.73 billion tons. Crude oil shipments increased 4.1% (in 2015 decreased 1.6%), but gas trades increased 4.8% (3.9%). Oil and gas shipments increased to 3.347 (in 2015 was 3.213) billion tons.
