The ISSN and the Turing machines: the history of a relationship

Pierre Godefroy

Resumen

AbstractOn the unending path towards a better integration of the ISSN and its accompanying metadata in the semantic web, the new horizon is that of linked data, so as to make sure that ISSN data is fully linkable for universal computing. However, while striving to feed hungry Turing machines with ever more data, thus fulfilling in a way Garfield?s visions outlined sixty years ago, one should not forget about so called end users, the ghosts behind the machine. Keywords: ISSN.
