MOBILITY OF LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT SECTOR IN POLAND

Resumen

The education sector covers almost 18% of the population in Poland (pupils and teachers). It is characterized by some specific features that enable for the distinction as a separate segment of the urban mobility market. On the background of the general characteristics of the functioning and financing system of the education sector in Poland, the importance of selected elements of sustainable urban mobility is presented. Presented case study covering various municipalities in the province of lubuskie allowed to demonstrate a strong differentiation of the division of travel depending on the type of school.
