Top priorities in information systems: The South African perspective

Jonathan Miller
Leyland F. Pitt

Resumen

AbstractIn this article findings of a three-round Delphi study concerning key issues in information systems (IS) are presented, as perceived by a group of South African information systems managers. Some adaptations to the Delphi method were made, and these are described. The ten most important issues are identified, and these are categorized. It emerges that most are externally orientated and deal with the relationship between IS and the enterprise. The implications for information systems practitioners, academics, consultants and professional bodies are discussed.
