Rainfall seasonal variability in the state of Santa Catarina
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to provide a diagnosis of the monthly and annual daily total precipitation of the state of Santa Catarina using meteorological data collected by the National Agency for Electric Power (NAEP), comprising the period from 1957 to 1997. The statistical analysis, using such parameters as mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variability, detected a marked deterministic process in the series studied, and some results showed a high precipitation variability caused by different dynamics.Downloads
