Resumen

The decline in neighbourhood quality results in neighbourhood dissatisfaction which contributes the mobility intention among households. This study aims to investigate the mobility intention among families of low and medium income group in Penang and to examine the potential of neighbourhood attributes in improving their lives by determining the main factors of location as well as social and physical characteristics. The data from the surveys collect with ranking by the calculation of the importance index. The study found households preferred the safe neighbourhood with less crime rate, enough parking spaces, and good security
