Resumen
O artigo constata o crescimento da modalidade de EAD, no nível superior de ensino, como uma das estratégias de expansão do ensino superior brasileiro, sem o respectivo investimento estatal. No âmbito do Serviço Social, o fenômeno de crescimento de tal modalidade data de 2006, trazendo implicações para o perfil de formação delineado pela ABEPSS. O trabalho objetiva, a partir das informações colhidas nas páginas institucionais das IES quanto ao corpo docente, tutorial e às coordenações de curso, problematizar o perfil de formação deste profissional baseado exclusivamente em atividades de ensino a distância.
