Resumen

The dynamic development of transport recorded in recent decades is an important factor in the economic development of the world, but on the other hand it is an important source of nuisances and environmental problems. The negative impact of transport can be felt both in the natural environment and in society. However, the dynamic development of this sector has enabled significant civilization development, with the effects vary depending on the level of advancement, the level of economic development, the use of various transport sectors, geographical location as well as environmental natural. Considering the significant development of transport and the increase in its popularity, an important element for the industry is the use of the most efficient and affordable vehicles. In addition, with modern transport threats, it is important to prevent them or minimize not only for environmental reasons, but also for financial reasons.The article presents an economic analysis of the environmental and social burden of transporting goods by means of various means of transport. Economic analyzes of rail and road-rail vehicles were also taken into account. They focused on such aspects as: purchase, exploitation and comparative indicators.
