Quality of Life Among the Elderly in Rumah Seri Kenangan, Cheras, Malaysia

Resumen

The objectives of this study were to determine the relationships between age, education level, previous employment and marital status towards the quality of life among the elderly in Rumah Seri Kenangan, Cheras. The objectives of the paper were to determine the relationships between age, education level, previous employment, and marital status towards the quality of life among the elderly in Rumah Seri Kenangan, Cheras. This study was undertaken based on a quantitative research approach through the adoption of the Ferrans conceptual model for quality of life. The primary data were gathered responses from a sample population of 145 (n=145). It was also found that there is a significant difference between gender among the elderly. The findings suggested that a holistic strategic approach is needed to create a high-level quality of life among the old folks.
