Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil, kekuatan kelemahan, peluang, ancaman, dan strategi pengembangan industri kecil konveksi melalui APIK dalam peran dan keefektifan kinerjanya. Secara praktis adalah dapat menambah informasi dan bahan masukan bagi pengusaha konveksi dan pemerintah untuk mengembangkan usaha industri kecil konveksi di Desa Tritunggal Kecamatan Babat Kabupaten Lamongan.Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 43 pengusaha industri kecil konveksi. Variabel dalam penelitian industri kecil menengah ini adalah profil dan peran APIK, serta strategi pengembangan industri kecil konveksi. Metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji t-paired, dan analisis SWOT.Hasil penelitian (1) Profil pengusaha industri kecil konveksi sebagian besar mereka adalah masyarakat menengah kebawah yang tidak mempunyai modal dan aset (2) APIK berperan sebagai wadah bagi pengusaha untuk mengembangkan industri kecil konveksi. (3) APIK memberikan andil pada industri kecil konveksi dapat dilihat dari rata-rata nilai modal, tenaga kerja, produk, teknologi, dan pasar pada konveksi sesudah adanya APIK lebih tinggi daripada sebelumnya. (4) Kekuatan yaitu letaknya yang strategis. Kelemahan yaitu keterbatasan modal. Peluang yaitu masih luasnya daerah pemasaran yang tersedia serta dukungan dan perhatian dari pemerintah melalui APIK. Sedangkan Ancaman yaitu persaingan merebut pasar semakin ketat. (5) Pada analisis SWOT strategi yang digunakan adalah mencari alternative bahan baku, meningkatkan potensi SDM, meningkatkan promosi, dan meningkatkan kreativitas.Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah APIK dapat membantu dalam perkembangan sentra industri kecil konveksi. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah pemerintah, APIK dan pengusaha sebaiknya saling mendukung agar industri kecil konveksi dapat lebih mudah berkembang dalam era globalisasi. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this research are to knowing the profile, strong and weakness, opportunity, threats, and strategies the development of the small convection industry through APIK?s role and the effectivity of working. Practically adding information and suggestion for convection?s entrepreneur and government to develop small industry convection business in the Tritunggal Vilage, District Babat, Lamongan regency.The populations in this research in round numbers 43 entrepreneurs small convection industry. The variables in this small intermediate industry research are profile rote and APIK role, also the development strategies of small industry convection. The method of data collections are observation and questionnaire. However the method of analysis data which use are descriptive analysis, differentiate testing t-paired and SWOT analysis.The result of the research showed (1) The profile of small convection industry predominantly is the middle-low societies who have no capital and Asset, (2) APIK has role as an institution for entreprenour to develop the small convection industry, (3) APIK gives contribution on small convection industry. It can be seen from the higher average of capital value, labour, product, technology, and market of the convection after APIK existed, (4) The strength is on the strategic location while the weakness is on the cost limit, the opportunity lies on the large area of available Market and also the support and attention by the goverment through APIK while the threat comes from the tighter Market competition, (5) On the SWOT analysis, the strategy used is looking for alternative basic material, increasing human resources potentials, increasing promotions, and increasing creativity.The conclusion in this research is APIK can help the development of small convection industry center. The suggestion is the government, APIK and entrepreneur better supporting each other so the small industry convection can develop easier in the globalization era. © 2014 Universitas Negeri Semarang
