Resumen

Glucose is a key intermediate in many routes of biomass transformation to obtain valuable bio-products. The sustainability of glucose production is essential to improve the environmental profile of ?greener? bio-products. In this work, LCA methodology was used to determine the strengths and weaknesses of processes devoted to glucose production, starting from different types of biomass. Alternatives to reduce the environmental impacts of glucose generation are highlighted from our LCA results.
