Proposal of a Nature-Inspired Shape for a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine and Comparison of Its Performance with a Semicircular Blade Profile

Resumen

This work analyzes the Savonius vertical axis wind turbine. A new geometry inspired the Fibonacci?s spiral was analyzed, obtaining a considerable improvement by both CFD and experimental tests.
