Resumen
In the monograph of Professor M. A. Sneps-Sneppe, titled "Pentagon Telecommunications: Digital Transformation and Cyber Defense", the author outlines the provisions, a number of which reflect the author's opinion on the urgent tasks of the development of special-purpose telecommunications systems and general use. For this reason, this article discusses some issues on which additional considerations are pertinent, coinciding, for the most part, with the main conclusions of the monograph, which concern the shortcomings of packet switching, security, and forecasts of the evolution of telecommunications networks.
