Resumen

The purpose of this article is to present the importance of EU co-financed investments in the programming period 2014?2020 for changes in road accessibility. This article is based on information on planned investments obtained in 2014. The research method used is the potential model. The changes in road accessibility are analyzed in spatial terms, which allowed us to identify those areas of Poland for which investments of EU co-financing are particularly important. These areas are primarily Macroregion of Eastern Poland and Pomerania. The role of EU co-financed investments in these areas is significant not only from the national but also from the international perspective. On the other hand, the area which is the least beneficiary is central and southern Poland, where accessibility has increased considerably already in the period 2007?2013.
