Nowadays in China, the action of ?Shantytown Renovation? or ?Dilapidated-house Transforming? is being undergone. In the process of it, some unique modern buildings are facing a damaged situation. How to deal with the relation between protection and innovation is worth considering. Thus, this paper, from the connotation of architecture and protection, discusses the present feasible approach of protecting those unique modern buildings, based on the meanings and features of the architecture.
