TARIFF AS AN AREA AND INNOVATIVE TOOL

Resumen

Success factors of modern economies and businesses are entrepreneurial culture, innovative processes and, consequently, entrepreneurs and managers who are able to spot market opportunities and commercialize the knowledge that is an important part of modern business processes. Tariffs, which are the tool for generating income from selling passenger services, also change as a result of techniqe, technology, and organization, generally as a result of knowledge and innovation development. The purpose of this article is to present a case study of usage in Polish economic area, the concept of calculation and calculate the price for the transport service using Algorithmic Dynamic Tariffs, based on the concept of Revenue (Yield) management (YM) (revenue man-agement, profit management). Algorithmic Dynamic Tariffs concept based on YM can be defined as ticket price control and capacity to provide transport services (number of free places/for sale) to increase carrier income. This is due not only to organizational development but also to the development of technology, in particular information and communication tech-nologies, which allow to use in practical new solutions such as communication with custom-ers/passengers and ticket distribution.
