ROAD NETWORK MODELS SURROUNDS THE AGGLOMERATION RAILWAY SYSTEM STOPS IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AREAS OF THE BIG CITIES

Resumen

The article presents the evaluation concept of railway stops surrounding development, that can function in the Agglomeration Railway System within Krakow City. Those railway stops play a significant role in the public transport system in the city. The road network model is the significant issue for railway stops development, which has a structural impact on land use development and the accessibility to the transport systems. The orthogonal or fractal road network model has positive and negative characteristics for the railway stops potential development.
